Into the band!
Band Lab is our group class where students learn what it’s really like to play in a band. Instead of practicing alone, you’ll team up with other musicians your age and skill level to learn songs, build new skills and make some serious noise together.
Each week we tackle a “Song of the Week”, using it to explore everything that makes a great band member, from tight timing and listening skills to stage confidence and musical teamwork.
WHO IT'S FOR
Students are grouped by age so everyone can learn and grow together.

Juniors: Ages 7–11

Seniors: Ages 12–18

WHEN IT RUNS
Band Lab takes place on Saturday mornings, with each session lasting 75 minutes.

10:00 – 11:15 (younger group)

11:30 – 12:45 (older group)
We’ll start with one class and expand into two as the Lab grows.
TERM STRUCTURE
Band Lab follows school term times (no half-term or holiday sessions).
Each 12–13 week term ends with a special event such as:

A live gig
-
Battle of the Bands
-
Video or recording session
The Summer Term (18 April – 18 July) finishes with a recorded performance event, so every student leaves with a professionally captured musical memory.

Band Lab runs year-round with open enrolment, so students can jump in whenever they’re ready. No waiting lists. No starting lines, the band is always ready for new members.
