Tutor

Danny is a passionate piano and vocal tutor whose musical journey began at the age of 14 when he first picked up the guitar. After performing in several bands, he developed a strong desire to broaden his musical abilities and explore new instruments. Over the years, he has performed live on piano, bass, violin, clarinet and saxophone, as well as singing vocals, gaining a wide and practical understanding of music across different styles and settings. Today, he also works within musical theatre as a conductor and musical director, bringing energy and creativity to every production he is involved in.
Throughout his career, Danny has performed in numerous bands, solo acts and orchestras, often taking the role of musical director in the pit. He has also worked professionally as an actor and musical director in Stratford-upon-Avon and toured with various productions. While performing has been a major part of his life, Danny now finds his greatest excitement in teaching and sharing his experience with others. He loves helping students discover the same musical adventures that have shaped his own journey.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Danny’s approach is centred around the individual. He understands that everyone learns differently, whether through visual, auditory or practical methods, and adapts his teaching to suit each student. Holding a degree in music and a PGCE in education, he combines strong musical knowledge with an approachable and supportive teaching style. Danny enjoys inspiring complete beginners during their very first lesson, while also encouraging experienced musicians to refresh and expand their skills—because, as he believes, there is always room to improve. A fun fact about Danny is that his passion for teaching began while working as a snowboarding instructor in Canada, where he discovered how rewarding it is to help someone ignite a brand-new passion—though he admits there is far less snow for that back home in the UK.
